Over 10 Years of Veterinary Experience

Dr. Sara Jo Charles knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from the age of 10. After spending 12 years working as a veterinary technician and earning a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from the University of Florida, she pursued that dream in full. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and returned to her home state of Florida. While hailing from Ocala, known as “horse country,”

Dr. Sara Jo discovered her true calling was in small animal medicine. In 2020, she opened her first small animal veterinary hospital, and in 2024, she launched Phoenix Veterinary Services, a mobile house call practice. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband, their two daughters, and their two lively Dachshunds, Dane and Olney.

Nikki Faso

Nicole (Nikki) Faso has been a lifelong animal lover. At the age of 16 she began working as a Veterinary Assistant in the same office where Dr. Charles started her path in the Veterinary field. Nikki has always had a passion for animals and providing their care. Her husband and two step boys share their home with three rambunctious kitties, two energetic guinea pigs, an assortment of fish, and their sweet German Shorthaired Pointer, Crash.
